How to Find Your Appliance Model Number
The fastest way to order the right spare part first time. Follow our engineer-approved guide below.
Why The Appliance Model Number Matters
Every part we sell is matched to a specific appliance model. Finding your model number before you order means we can confirm exact compatibility, saving you time, money and the hassle of returns.
Washing Machines
On most washing machines, the rating plate showing the model number is located:
✓ Around the inside rim of the door, visible when the door is open
✓ On the rear panel of the machine, near the water hoses
✓ Occasionally on the side panel of the machine
✓ Look for a sticker with a model number (often starting with letters, e.g. WM or similar) alongside a serial number and barcode
Dishwashers
For dishwashers, the model number is usually found:
✓ On the side edge of the door, visible when the door is fully open
✓ Along the top or bottom edge of the door frame
✓ On the inner rim, sometimes hidden until the door is opened fully
✓ The label will show model and serial numbers together with a barcode
Cookers
On free-standing and range cookers, check:
✓ The storage drawer at the bottom – pull it out and look on the inside top panel
✓ The rear of the cooker, if accessible
✓ Around the door frame or side panel near the controls
✓ Look for a data badge listing model number, serial number and power rating
Ovens (Built-In)
For built-in single and double ovens, the rating plate is typically found:
✓ On the side edge of the oven cavity, visible when the door is open
✓ Along the front frame of the oven, sometimes behind a small flap
✓ On the rear of the appliance if it can be safely accessed
✓ If you can’t see it, check the original installation manual or box if kept
Top Tips From Our Engineers
Take a Photo
Photograph the rating plate so you have the model and serial number saved.
Check for Wear
Labels can fade - clean gently and use good lighting to read them clearly.
Keep the Serial Number Too
Some parts are matched using both the model and serial number.
